If you are a parent, how do you feel about sexual offenders?

We all have our opinions and such about sex offenders and ppl that offend against children.


What do you think of them?


How do we keep the peace with them living among us?


Just a curious question looking for everybody's thoughts.

Do you think that people should get a tax break on their property taxes due to a sex offender living in their neighborhood? (because it is harder to sell their property etc./..)??If you are a parent, how do you feel about sexual offenders?
There is a lot of feelings about your topic.





When I was a teenager, I was rather pissed that the ';law'; disallowed me from having sex. I did anyways. I knew a girl at the time that was having an affair with a 50 yr man, and she was OK with it. I think a lot of ';law'; lacks the ability to understand the difference between ';play'; and ';forcefully violating'; (through verbal or physical treats) when making ';judgments'; about sexual relations with teenagers and older people. Because of ';the law'; many teenagers have guilty feelings about what they did, even though at the time, the activity was mutually OK.





I do have issues with pedophiles. If a person is not even in puberty, sex is pointless, there is no true enjoyment.


Recently it has been discovered by science that pedophiles have an abnormal brain (they have more ';white matter'; and less ';gray matter';). Perhaps one day we will be able to help those people with medical intervention. Keep the peace with them living amongst us: is to give love to our children and give them the ability to say ';no'; and advise them to get away from situations that may be dangerous. Help our children to say ';yes'; to all the good choices.





Tax break ? No. If that where the case then people should get a tax break for drug pushers, alcoholics, addicts, etc.

I think sexual predators are the new witch. They've always been around, but just now they're being paraded out in front of society. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing for those who actually rape or molest children.





I just find it completely irresponsible and sad that we label 18 year old having sex with their 16 year old gf's predators or those guys who are urinating in public after a night at the bar a sexual predator. People like that should not get locked up and labeled with such an evil name.





Personally, if an adult hurts a child in that way, I don't think they should get out. Even if they don't stay in prison forever, they should end up in a mental hospital for the rest of their lives.
