Why is a parent option to decide a circumcision for a baby when there is no medical NEED?

How comes a thing like that is a ';Choice';?


How about when the mature child resents this done.Or a tattoo,etc.?


Why if is not Life threatening or even a Health REAL risk,has to be ';decided'; or determined,chosen by parents?


Religion or Beauty standard physically inherited?

Actually...leaving a baby uncut can cause severe problems later on. i work in a hospital and have seen MANY men have to come in because they tore the foreskin during sex. Also, because the area under the foreskin became infected. Or, in the case of young boys, they get torn (just a bit...not enough for them to tell Mom) and when it starts to heal it heals TO THE PENIS.





Now...these things may well have more to do with living practices, or education, or cleanliness than not...but they still happen frequently. So, for some parents, it is simply easier to eliminate the potential for problem before the baby leaves the hospital.

Actually circumsion has been found to be cleaner and healthier. Less chance of get any kind of infections. Not to mention the fact that alot of women just think it looks better. They don't want till a male is old enough to decide because by that age it is a more evasive procedure and probably would hurt.

I am very anti-circumcision if the time ever comes that I need to make that choice. So unnecessary. BUT when my sister and her husband had a boy, her husband was INSISTENT that the baby be circumcised because he had this theory about potty training and things ';looking'; right from the kid's perspective. Go figure.
isnt that disgusting? Im not jewish ....their wives might not want that....dont do that to baby boys...IT COULD MESS UP THEIR future marriages....let them decide...smart men wont do that!!!
