Is there anyone out there who's the parent of an emo kid?

I've always wondered who are the parents of emo kids? I mean don't there mom and dad disapprove of the way they dress and act?





I'm asking this question because it never seems like the Parents of the emo kid are never brought up. Where are the parents? So they don't care?Is there anyone out there who's the parent of an emo kid?
Im not a parent of an emo kid... but, my brother grew up being ';gothic';. My parents were not bad parents. They did care - but, they also believe in letting us have the freedom to express ourselves.Is there anyone out there who's the parent of an emo kid?

I have a fairly ';emo'; friend and he comes from a rich family that argues a lot. Each ';emo'; child is different. They all have different reasons for being one.
they are normal parents just like the parents of preps or surfers or indie kids

hmm... i'm not sure. but i remember watching the Hayden Christiansen movie ';Life as a House,'; and he's totally emo. his parents are -somewhat- normal, so i guess it's just the environment in which they were raised, and personal choices and circumstances.
