If my ex-husband is the dommicille parent, but just signed a prommissory note giving me premission to claim ..?

my ex-husband is the dommicille parent, but just signed a prommissory note giving me premission to claim 2 children (because of him signing the childrens custody over to me) on our taxes, but he went and filed and claimed them anyway...can he get away with that?If my ex-husband is the dommicille parent, but just signed a prommissory note giving me premission to claim ..?
A promissory note is used for accounting expenses...similar to an IOU. Considering that it is not a legally binding contract, the IRS will surely uphold the court order. The only way for you to get out of this situation is for him to acknowledge that the note is in fact authentic, and he agreed to the terms.

This is why when you have a legal issue already on a courts record, you go BACK to court to have the order modified, or file a written statements with the court stating the change in visitation/custody.If my ex-husband is the dommicille parent, but just signed a prommissory note giving me premission to claim ..?
Ok...I'm making the following assumptions:

dommicille = domicile

prommissory = promissory

premission = permission

Maybe...is the promissory note a legal document that you both filed with a lawyer or had notarized?

Please use the spell checker next time.
No, take it to the I.R.S. Show them the court documents and the promissory note. Let them handle it so that they don't red flag your files.
Not if you have something signed by him stating otherwise!
Get over it. Are you really going to cause waves over $2,000?
what do you mean can he? he just did
yes
