been asked to pay support in the past? Can a parent be be ordered to pay child support even though the child is now 19 years old and he has never?
It depends entirely on your state. Custodial parents are allowed to go after a new support order, for current %26amp; back or just back all the up to age 25 of the child in some states. In cases where there never was a support order to begin with. Every state is different. Here is a good link, find your state, and look in the ';statute of limitations'; section. That will let you know by what age the father has to be on the birth certificate and paternity established by in order to go after a new support order. Look in the ';support order establishment'; section to see how many past years they are allowed to charge you for. Again that depends on your state, some will only do the past 3 years, some it's all the way back to birth, and others it's entire up to the judge. yes if the child is in school then yes if the court says so then he has to. And if the court tells him he has to then they can make him pay back child support of all the years he hasnt payed.
If the child is 19 but still in school yes you might even have to pay back pay if the child is not in school then i dont think so but not positive
A parent can be ordered to pay back child support if decided by the courts.
once they hit 18 there on their own.
if the person still owes money (i.e. missed payments), back pay, then yes.. my father had to
