How true that education is the best legacy a parent can give/leave his child?

Very true! As parents it is our responsibility to see through it that our children are well-equipped to handle what awaits them in adulthood. By providing them the best education our money can afford, we are giving them a head start in ';real life.'; We may not have properties, stocks and bonds to bequeath to them but the gift of knowledge (education) is worth a lot more than all the material things. And it would have a lasting impact unlike money which could run out.How true that education is the best legacy a parent can give/leave his child?

In today's world, where land, wealth, stocks and other material stuff is so expensive, education and a good name are the bext legacy a parent can give to his child.





I added name or reputation as part of education, since I believe it should be one that should be of value to the child and can be enriched by the child similar to a good education.





I believe it is true that Education is a best legacy since as has been said, teach a man to fish and he can live his life on his own, while just giving him fish only feeds him for a day. So an education provide the child his path for the future, and not providing a good education is damning the child to a life of hard ship.
Definitely! This is especially true especially in the Philippines were parents cannot give much of a material wealth as an inheritance to their children.





With education, children have the opportunity and a bigger chance to improve their lives.





Unfortunately, some choose to ignore the gift of education and squander the most important resource they have: time.
education of the heart, id agree. good character. parents should be able to teach a child how to give love, the real kind, by first and foremost showing how it's done, by taking care of the child. being an intellectual alone can only leave a child confused if he doesn't know how to use his knowledge to help mankind. i think its also true that people who doesn't know much about wordly things are happiest because they are more spiritually in touch. sometimes there are things i wish i never learned..
im not pinoy,but observed many. i noticed 2 that seem to make education third.they are...


1.close family relationships,this includes language.


2.hard work ethics...whats up with the hispanic thingy? iv noticed and met pinoy with several jobs and its common.
A good education for my kids has always been a noble ambition. But I'd much rather leave them with an unshakable love of God, and a clear and honorable sense of morality and integrity.
True, only if the parents are poor, but for the wealthy, education is just secondary.
Absolutely true. Education is something can can't be perished or be taken away. It will stay for a lifetime.
