Can a non custodial parent file his child support case in another state?

I currently have a case in MI, and move to Texas, couldnt find employment for 8 months, and recently just got a job, had no money to fly to Mi for a court date. what can I do to resolve this issue. I currentlt received a letter stating i have a bench warrant. Can a non custodial parent file his child support case in another state?
Well, the moving part was dumb. Not getting a motion file to modify, however it took you to get to the hearing was dumb. And, if the other parent is still living there, than no, it can't be moved to your state. If you owe more than $5000, you have committed a federal felony by not living in Michigan.
